The village of Ludrová continued the rich tradition of paper production in lower Liptov by building and operating a museum of manual paper production.

The construction was carried out through the European Fund for Development INTERREG POLAND - SLOVAKIA entitled In the footsteps of technical monuments from Podhalie to Liptov.

Until 1953, the village had two parts, Zemianska Ludrová and Villa Ludrová. Villa Ludrová was part of the town of Ružomberok, known for its long-standing paper industry.

In the past, paper was not a common part of life, its production was difficult and it was handled only by the masters designated for it.One of them is the professional guarantor of the project, Mr. Juraj Tóth, who has been involved in the original handmade paper production for decades. Museum visitors can experience the entire process of hand-made paper in an interactive and fun way.
